A lawn roof is a lightweight green roof assembly which can extend the usable space of your building. The depth of growing media is only 8” to 12” requires regular maintenance and irrigation. These roofs can be used to create large, green walkable lawns on a roof top to complement patio areas. Deeper bedded intensive systems create a garden-like growing environment. These systems are typically not walkable but instead allow for a variety of plant life, including shrubs and trees. A garden system features a deeper growing media between 5” to 30”. Garden systems serve as the perfect complement to patios and walkways. These systems are virtually indistinguishable from natural gardens.
