]]> The New York State Capitol Courtyard is a roof system that protects the building’s systems such as water and HVAC. Greenwood Industries performed an extensive restoration on the copper Hawk Street Passage and the exterior courtyard to bring them closer to the capitol architect’s original vision. The exterior area was formerly an inaccessible EPDM roof, but is now a paver deck that can be enjoyed by workers and visitors. The project won both a Copper in Architecture Award and an ENR Award of Merit.
